Did that catch your attention? I la la la love chocolate and have been a not-so-secret member of Chocoholics Anonymous my entire life.
It used to be the good ol’ purple dairy milk that floated my boat but NOW – I am having a much healthier love affair with it’s more natural, good-for-you, satisfying friend~ Cacao!
Cacao is a SUPERFOOD! And much like SUPER TED, it’s special powers were given to it by Mother Nature. It has antioxidants like resveratrol & many minerals like magnesium, iron, potassium, calcium, zinc, copper and manganese. Cacao boosts your mood with phenylethylamine, and is even known to slow down the ageing process by assisting with nitric oxide metabolism.
So without further ado, I bring to you: My 10min Almond & Berry Chocolate (actually Cacao ;o)
Scatter a lined baking tray with a handful of:
Mix separately then pour over the top:
1/2 cup cacao
1/2 cup melted coconut oil
1/4 cup maple syrup
3 tablespoons chia seeds (optional)
Set in freezer for 10mins & enjoy. Quicker than going to the shops for your fix & healthier too! ;o)
