Ange Law :: Back to Bircher :: Fabulous Female Friday
How would your biggest fan describe what you do?
She would say that I teach her how to eat better and how to have treats that aren’t full of nasties, without getting a serious case of the guilts. I have a lot of fun with food and promote balance, rather than preaching about what people should be eating and food shaming people.
What’s lighting up your world at the moment?
I have been busting my hump on creating and designing my new website and it is finally ready to reveal to the world. The URL is backtobircher.com and for the first time ever, I feel as though my blog is completely and authentically ME. That is definitely lighting me up at the moment. I have also been planning a huge trip overseas, beginning next month. These are my two babies, and they have been keeping me very busy!
What is your morning routine?
I wish I could tell you that I have a really great morning routine but I don’t. My only rule is to take things slowly – I absolutely hate rushing in the mornings.
What’s burning a hole in your playlist? (Even if it’s embarrassing)
Anything by Ed Sheeran.
What qualities make someone sparkle?
Kindness. And I am not just talking about someone being friendly (although I do like that too). I mean that special little glow that beams out of genuinely kind people. I can spot that a mile away, and strive to put those vibes out every day myself.
What is your favourite quote?
“I want to be around people that do things. I don’t want to be around people anymore that judge or talk about what people do. I want to be around people who dream. And support. And do things” – Amy Poehler.
What book would you recommend to your younger self?
I AM THAT GIRL, Alexis Jones
Where do you eat out?
I LOVE eating breakfast out and am a sucker for anywhere near the beach. Places like Three Blue Ducks in Bronte are my ultimate happy place.
Tell us what you ate yesterday. (Be honest! ;o)
Greek Yoghurt with a Banana and nuts for breakie, a salad with sprouts for lunch, spaghetti bolognese for dinner and a sneaky creme easter egg in between.
On a perfect day, what would you do?
I would wake up (without the alarm), go out for breakie with my man, do the coastal walk and buy some delicious raw treats and sourdough for later. If there was a market around I would wander around there for a while, before heading home and either reading a good book, or binge watching a new TV show with Steve.
What makes your heart sing?
Cooking. And eating! Food is one of my great loves, and I am happiest when cooking or eating, or writing about what I am cooking or eating.
How do you want to feel? (Your Core Desired Feelings)
Freedom, joy, brave, wanderlust, love.
What do you wish you’d known when you were 22?
I am only 23, so that wasn’t too long ago for me! But this time last year I was battling through and feeling really uninspired in my work and finding it difficult to get my flow going again for my blog. I guess I would tell her that it will pass.
What are your favourite new discoveries of the moment?
The new coffee shop down the road from my house (Element6 if anyone is asking), ODesk (for my website editing needs) and the bircher muesli at Bondi Harvest.
