Desire Map

The Desire Map entered my life when I was struggling majorly with unproductivity (just let me Shakespeare that word). If there were a Procrastination Olympics, I’d win GOLD. I struggled with being overwhelmed by to-do lists, I didn’t have a one year plan let alone a five year plan and time management and scheduling practices brought out the Rebel Without A Cause in me.

I didn’t believe in New Year’s Resolutions either, until my Year of Yes. This is where it all started, having a theme for the year. I then got introduced to The Desire Map. Instead of another time management or scheduling system, this focused on how I wanted to feel.

What did I most want to feel Every. Single. Day. Abundant? Balanced? Fearless? Passionate? Nourished? Joy? Free? What was I really yearning for? And were my goals or plans even going to get me there? What could I be doing today to feel those desired feelings? Could every choice I make be guided simply by my core desired feelings? How much easier would that be!

So I have been living my life pursuing my core desired feelings like my own Aurora Borealis. This year they are Freedom and Surrender, big words and a long journey toward them which is why I’m taking my passion for The Desire Map one step further. I’ve become a Licensed Facilitator of The Desire Map :o)

The Desire Map started out as a book, written by Danielle LaPorte. At the heart of it all? A commitment to feeling good.

Cynics would say that choosing to place your focus on feeling good is silly – maybe, even selfish.

But I (and thousands of other Desire Mappers around the globe) know better. Because who wants to live a life that doesn’t feel good?

Who wants to work in a job that sucks their life force?

Who wants to be in relationships where they don’t feel nourished and honoured?

Who wants to feel bored in their own life?

Not me. And I’m pretty sure, not you.

The Desire Map taught me how to make better choices by making decisions based on my core desired feelings. And that boils down to living a life that feels good to live.

I’ve watched this book inspire major transformation in my own life and in the lives of many others. I believe in this material — I know that it works.

I’m stepping up and offering to guide other people through the desire mapping process by hosting my very own workshops. First up:
