Open in the Evening in Sydney
Bondi Harvest 500 Oxford Street, Bondi Junction NSW 2022
Bondi Harvest is the new kid on the block and man is he fine. Open nights Wednesday through Sunday he’s located in Bondi Junction Westfields on Level 4 (inside The Eastern). I loved their cold pressed green juice and their healthy ‘slaw with slow cooked lamb. They’re open breakfasts and lunches too.
Yulli’s 417 Crown Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010
Yum yum Yulli’s! Amazing vegetarian restaurant with vegan and gluten free options available. With tapas, mains and desserts on offer this is a great place to go with a group of friends. Make sure you book though as it can be hard to get in!
Bodhi 2 College Street, Sydney NSW 2000
Another great place to go with a group of friends, Bodhi specialises in vegan yum cha and pan-Asian cuisine using locally grown organic produce. Yummy dumplings are their specialty which you can enjoy outside under the beautiful Moreton Bay Fig trees. They are a little tricky to find, so make sure you check your map as they are tucked under the pavement that lays in front of St Mary’s Cathedral, near the indoor swimming pool. Great for big groups.
Lentil as Anything 391 King Street, Newtown NSW 2042
This is super cute! And super cheap! They have a teeny tiny vegan changing menu. They are interestingly a not-for-profit and you pay by donation. They have very delicious chai teas and I recommend going with a group of friends and sharing everything but they are busy busy busy at night so get in early!
Nourishing Quarter 315 Cleveland Street, Redfern NSW 2016
This quirky little restaurant is super cute and kitsch. It has Vietnamese vegetarian style offerings that are gluten, dairy and wheat free. Lots of quinoa on offer. You can order a-la-carte or do a banquet and bookings are a must as it is teeny tiny and offers two dinner sittings each evening. Nice for an intimate meal.
Oneness Cafe 244 Coogee Bay Road, Coogee NSW 2034
This gorgeous cafe is a recent find. They are open every day and do late nights Thursday – Saturday. They really do embody their holistic philosophy of oneness which their beautiful staff represent. They cater for everyone from RAW vegan, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free to meat and seafood lovers. I’ve enjoyed their Raw and Alkalising Kale Chips, Handmade Vegan Dumplings & Grilled Haloumi Salad. Love them.
The O Café 487 Crown Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010
This place is great for a weekend brunch or lunch with it’s casual vibe and tasty menu. They are completely certified organic and have great ready-made take away options as well as an in-house menu. My favourite was their vegetarian vietnamese rice paper roll. It has this amazing satay-like sauce on the inside so no need for messy dipping sauces. (A saviour for someone who always seems to splash on her clothes!)
Earth to Table 85 Bronte Road, Bondi Junction NSW 2022
I love Earth to Table for its amazing desserts and nourishing meals. A particular favourite of mine is the Chilli which has vegetables in a rich sun-dried tomato sauce with cashew cream on top. It’s raw vegan and also touts the gluten/wheat/dairy/sugar free labels. Make sure your dining companion knows when they order the Alfredo pasta that there is no pasta (it’s zuchini) and there’s no cream (it’s cashew cream) and it’s served cold. Otherwise there can be tears ;o)
Orchard St. Organic Juice and Raw Food Elixir Bar 2 Brighton Boulevard, North Bondi NSW 2026
This is my very most favourite Elixir Bar in the whole wide world (and I’ve been to a LOT!). My favourite kombucha is on tap here -Wild Kombucha by Ballsy! They have beautiful organic, cold pressed juices and smoothies and ready-made take-away raw vegan lunches. No hot stuff here but it is so beautifully nourishing.
Bondi Wholefoods 30a Hastings Parade, North Bondi Beach NSW 2026
Simple and unpretentious, Bondi Wholefoods offers organic sustainable produce. They conveniently have a small store attached so you can buy organic goodies to take home.
Sadhana Kitchen 147 Enmore Road, Enmore NSW 2042
This place is great for your organic raw wholefoods. It again makes healthy on meals like tacos, lasagne and even BLT sandwiches with coconut bacon (?!). Their desserts are to die for, I especially love their not-ella crepes and I am dying to try their raw vegan high tea and their PBJ Acai bowl!
Egg of the Universe 711 Darling Street, Rozelle NSW 2039
The vibe of this cafe is gorgeous. On a nice day you can sit in their outdoor area under a beautiful Chinese Elm tree and soak up the peaceful vibe. Their menu offers seasonal, organic produce of the highest quality. You can also pop in to a yoga class whilst you’re there. Ommmmm (nom nom)

Sprout Wholefoods 272 Willoughby Road, Naremburn NSW 2065
Spout is a great place to meet for lunch if you have little ones. It has a kids menu for both breakfast and lunch and a playground out the back. There are salads, goodness bowls, soups and burgers on offer with gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan and paleo options helpfully marked on the menu. It has lovely outdoor seating and a little store next door to take some goodies home.

Lunch Take Away Joints for Busy Sydney City Slickers
Lize + Bath Shop 12, Level 4, 227 Elizabeth Street, Sydney NSW 2000
This one is a little tricky to find but you’ll be so happy when you do. It’s tucked below street level in a little shopping arcade. They have ready-made salads (with a lot of quinoa going on!) and really dreamy smoothies.
Thr1ve Westfield, Sydney City & MLC Centre Food Courts, Sydney NSW 2000
These guys are everywhere and thank goodness for a healthier “fast food” option. Even though they are in food courts and I’ve called them fast food they cook everything to order. They are Paleo inspired and have a good range of menu options.
O Hunter Connection 7-13 Hunter Street, Sydney NSW 2000
This belongs to the same family as The O Cafe and a good place to duck into if you’re in the city and need a quick healthy bite. It is located in not the nicest of food halls so I suggest you duck in to grab your meal and duck right back out again to eat in a park. With a duck.
Northern Beaches, NSW
Pure Whole Foods 5/10 Darley Road, Manly NSW 2093
This is a great lunch place offering lots of quick ready-made salads as well as quite a large menu. Great if you’re spending a day at the beach.

Central Coast, NSW
Bella Natural Food Co. 1 Kurrawyba Avenue, Terrigal NSW 2260 + Shop 1, 8-12 Karalta Road, Erina NSW 2250
I have frequented this little cafe many a time that I’ve been on the Central Coast. I do love their fresh, delicious meals and organic products. Love the acai bowl (who doesn’t?) and many ready-made dishes to take-away to the beach across the road.
The Purple Carrot 105 Hyde Street, Bellingen NSW 2454
When I stayed in Bellingen, I loved this place so much I went for dinner and then back again for breakfast the next day. The food is wholesome, the owners are lovely and it just has a really lovely vibe. Well worth a visit if you’re in their neck of the woods.

“Raw Trader is a mecca for raw treats.” Claudine Rudeforth

“Patch Cafe is a paleo inspired cafe and incredibly super delicious and groovy. They make the most awesome bread!” Claudine Rudeforth
Pho Nom Emporium Melbourne, 287 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne VIC 3000
“Pho Nom is Vietnamese Hawker style food and uses organic grassfed meats in their broths/dishes.” Claudine Rudeforth
Rivers of Yarrambat 28 Kurrak Road, Yarrambat VIC 3091
“Rivers is a cafe and Garden centre. They have a veggie/herb patch where they source ingredients, they often have sugar-free/raw dessert options available. They also make the best Chai latte I’ve ever had – real chai that is not the powdered variety.” Elise Roberts
The Raw Kitchen 181A High Street, Fremantle WA 6160
Oh me! Oh my! I love The Raw Kitchen. We found this place after lunch so we sadly did not get to try the whole menu (which looks amazeballs) but did get to have some delicious smoothies and raw treats. My favourite smoothie was the Peruvian Caramel which was super sweet without having to include agave. I’ll be visiting again in April!
Veggie Mama Corner Beaufort Street and Vincent Street, Mount Lawley WA 6050
“I find an excuse to go here most Saturdays to pick up some take-away lunch and love the patties (there’s a sweet potato and chickpea I always get and a new beetroot and lentil one which is scrummy) and the salads (my standard are the beetroot and carrot coleslaw and a kale, walnut and red capsicum one). They also have some great raw treats.” Sammy Faye
Uncle Joe’s 74 – 76 King Street, Perth WA 6000
“For city lunch I go to Uncle Joe’s Mess Hall (which is attached to an uber cool barbershop) and Country Road Cafe at least once a week. I love Uncle Joe’s for their all day breakfasts – my usual dish is called R.P.M. which is a poached egg on a bed of ricotta, sliced avocado and shredded mint with a squirt of lemon and an açai smoothie. CR Cafe order is a sweet potato pie with salad and whatever their juice special is that day.” Sammy Faye
The Juicist Perth WA 6000
“There’s also been a food truck craze over here and as part of that parked down the little laneway next to my work is The Juicist which does cold pressed juices, nut milks and did ice blocks over the summer.” Sammy Faye
CNR Kitchen 44 Lake Street, Northbridge WA 6003
“If I’m having a slightly longer Friday lunch and feel like a 10 minute walk over the horseshoe bridge from the city into Northbridge I’ll go to CNR Cafe. They have a wall of raw treats.” Sammy Faye
